The Cambridge English Readers series is specially written for young learners of English in non-English-speaking countries. Unlike the usual abridged versions of famous novels, the authors of this series are either experienced British TEFL teachers with years of teaching experience or novelists themselves. They carefully select vocabulary and grammar points, creating engaging works in authentic English, tailored to levels ranging from low to high.
The series covers a wide range of genres, including adventure, mystery, science fiction, romance, comedy, and more. The themes are modern and ( means "" in Chinese, which translates to "" in English, so I'll keep it as is), reflecting diverse cultural backgrounds from both Eastern and Western regions. The stories are immersive and exciting, making readers feel as if they are living the adventures.
Extensive reading has always been the big secret of English learning. It allows learners to use their own time and set their own pace, and the key to success is—enjoyment of reading! The Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press has introduced this innovative original fiction series from Cambridge University Press. To meet the diverse needs of Chinese readers, the series is published in both English-Chinese bilingual and English-annotated formats.
