Features: This book is based on the spirit of the basic teaching requirements for physics experiment courses formulated by the Physics Teaching Guidance Committee for Non-Physics Majors of the Ministry of Education in 2004, and is written in line with the characteristics of Chongqing University. The book is divided into seven chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction, which clearly states that the purpose of the physics experiment course is to cultivate students' innovative awareness, innovative spirit, and innovative ability. Chapter 2 introduces measurement errors, uncertainties, and main data processing methods. Chapter 3 introduces commonly used physics experiment instruments. Chapter 4 is the open-ended preparatory physics experiment, specifically designed for students who have not conducted physics experiments in high school. Chapter 5 covers basic physics experiments, including mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics experiments. Chapter 6 is a comprehensive experiment, aimed at consolidating students' learning achievements in the basic experimental stage, broadening their horizons and perspectives, and improving their comprehensive application ability in experimental methods and techniques. Chapter 7 is the design and research-oriented experiment, designed to further enhance students' comprehensive experimental ability and scientific research qualities. The book includes a total of 70 experimental projects, some of which are closely related to production practice or scientific research and have a modern touch. This book is intended as a teaching material for physics experiments for first and second-year undergraduate students in science and engineering colleges. For university physics experiment teachers, some of the innovative content in this book is of great reference value.
