What is Trichomoniasis Vaginitis

Patient's question:

It's so strange. The doctor said I have trichomoniasis of the external genitalia. Isn't it only trichomoniasis of the vagina? I've never heard of trichomoniasis of the external genitalia. What kind of thing is it?

Doctor's answer:

Trichomoniasis vulvitis is caused by the extensive domestication of human parasites, the trichomonas, which cannot be effectively controlled, and is often a sequel to trichomoniasis vaginitis. It is one of the common inflammatory conditions of the female external genitalia. So, what are the causes of trichomoniasis vulvitis? Experts cite that the primary cause of trichomoniasis vulvitis is the extensive domestication of vaginal trichomonas, which leads to the recurrence of inflammation. The trichomonas is pear-shaped with a pointed posterior end, and has four flagella at the top of the body, a flagellar membrane in the body, and a convex axis column at the posterior end. The living trichomonas is translucent and colorless, resembling a water droplet, with the flagella swaying as the flagellar membrane oscillates. The life cycle of the trichomonas is simple, consisting only of a trophozoite stage without a cyst stage, and it has a strong adaptability to external environments. It can survive for 2 days at 3-5℃; for 20-60 minutes at 46℃; and for about 10 hours in a semi-dry environment.
