Features: From the main components of traditional Chinese ethical and moral culture—Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism—we have selected some ethical propositions and moral thoughts that played a significant role in shaping and developing our national spirit in history, and still contain certain active factors in today's real life. We have conducted historical excavation and modern interpretation of these propositions and thoughts, aiming to critically inherit and continue the essence of traditional ethical and moral culture, and provide some reference materials for achieving a unified goal of critical inheritance and innovative advancement. In compiling this series, we have made efforts to select these ethical propositions and moral thoughts based on the internal logic of the ethical and moral thought systems of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, striving to avoid subjectivity and arbitrariness. For the interpretation of these propositions and thoughts, we have focused on perspectives that have gained broad recognition in the development of our national history, and grounded our analysis in the realities of today, making necessary elaborations.
