Features: The "Olympic Subject Competitions for Primary and Secondary Schools" series consists of over 200 varieties, including textbook series, introductory textbooks, practice papers, mock exam papers, intensive textbooks, classic problem-solving series, weekly tests, question compilations, and multi-solution series. This series is compiled by the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads and is a research outcome of the Beijing Step-by-Step Quality Education Research Institute. Since its publication by the Olympic Press, it has stood out uniquely and is deeply loved by teachers, parents, and students. After significant revisions, re-editions, or complete rewrites, it has been renamed as "Gold Medal Olympiads" and "Gold Medal Schools" series, and is now re-published and distributed by Jinghua Publishing House. At this re-publication, sincere gratitude is extended to millions of readers across the country. Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads (abbreviated as Subject Olympiads) are one of the most extensive, widely participated, and influential subject competition activities for primary and secondary school students in China. Subject Olympiads are inspired by and derived from the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the International Physics Olympiad (IPHO), the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), and other internationally influential secondary school subject competitions that attract millions of young students every year. The reason for such widespread attention lies in the strong innovation, flexibility, comprehensiveness of Olympiads, as well as their focus on cultivating students' exploration skills and inspiring their innovative awareness—qualities that are precisely at the core of quality education. This is also the need for future development. Based on years of in-depth research on this activity both domestically and internationally, as well as a large volume of outstanding books in this category, the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited outstanding educators dedicated to this field from across the country to compile and publish a series of "Gold Medal Olympiads" and "Gold Medal Schools" books covering seven subjects—mathematics, Chinese, English, physics, chemistry, biology, and information—with over 200 varieties. In terms of the variety, quantity, and quality of our subject Olympiad books, they are considered the most influential among peers both domestically and internationally and hold the greatest charm in the hearts of primary and secondary school teachers and students. The compilation purpose and characteristics of the "Gold Medal Olympiads" and "Gold Medal Schools" series are as follows:
1. High: Derived from textbooks but exceeding them. Derived from textbooks means referencing the latest [curriculum standards] issued by the Ministry of Education; exceeding textbooks means closely aligning with competition syllabi at all levels, ensuring comprehensive alignment in content, question types, and ability requirements, thereby fostering interest, developing intelligence, and enhancing skills.
2. Accurate: Scientifically precise and well-structured. Each book is designed hierarchically based on subject characteristics, scientifically organized, and follows a progressive principle, offering in-depth yet accessible analysis and comprehensive, detailed problem-solving methods.
3. Innovative: Features novel and engaging question types. It compiles the essence of recent Olympiad, middle school, and high school exam questions from both domestically and internationally, representing the highest level of current Olympiads and reflecting new concepts in curriculum reform, as well as innovative ideas, methods, and trends in competition question-setting.
4. Exquisite: Selects representative examples that are challenging yet logical, flexible, and achievable. Emphasizes the ability to generalize from specific cases and promotes multi-solution, multi-variable, and multi-question approaches; focuses on training thinking skills without resorting to rote memorization, making learning an interest and hobby.
