Features: Compared to previously published teaching materials on event management, this series of textbooks has the following five distinct characteristics:
First, university collaboration. This is the first series of event management textbooks jointly written by universities in China that offer majors or directions in event management. The main editors and contributors come from more than ten domestic universities, including Beijing Second Foreign Languages University, Beijing Tourism College, Beijing City University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, Hubei University, Shenyang Normal University, Guangzhou University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai University.
Second, international alignment. The design of the textbook system fully considers the well-known event management curriculum systems of prestigious universities in developed countries such as George Washington University in the United States and Ravensburg Cooperative Education University in Germany. Based on the needs of China's teaching practices, appropriate adjustments and modifications have been made. Using this textbook series allows direct alignment with the latest international textbook systems, achieving the goal of "receiving international synchronous education without leaving the country."
Third, integration of theory and practice. The writing of the textbooks has consistently adhered to the combination of theoretical and applied approaches. In the early stages of designing the textbook system, suggestions from industry experts such as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Ministry of Commerce, and the China Association for Science and Technology were fully incorporated. During the writing process, for all practical content, most authors adopted methods such as collaborating with industry experts or widely soliciting opinions from them. These practices avoid the drawbacks of purely academic "theoretical discussions" and significantly enhance the practical value of the textbooks.
Fourth, broad perspective.
Fifth, dynamic and open. This book introduces the laws, regulations, and institutional frameworks of event management, as well as an overview, categories, levels, and standards of events.
