Features: Italian Business Negotiation and Interpretation is a required textbook for the Italian major in the Department of Italian, School of Foreign Languages, at the University of International Business and Economics. Based on the main manifestations of economic globalization—trade liberalization, international production, and financial globalization—the textbook covers the key business processes of foreign economic and trade (such as price negotiation, contract term negotiation, consulting, agency, etc.), as well as international credit, turnkey projects, engineering contracts, joint ventures, bidding, and technology transfer. It primarily focuses on skill training, employing situational dialogues and interpretation. The textbook can also serve as a practical reference for domestic self-study learners of Italian. In the Introduction to Learning Italian Business Negotiation and Interpretation, the authors, drawing on decades of practical experience in Italian business negotiation and interpretation, use Long Yongtu, the chief representative of China in the WTO accession negotiations, as a model to guide readers in mastering the key skills and techniques for successful business negotiations and interpretation. Therefore, this textbook offers fresh insights in guiding students to master Italian business negotiation and interpretation. Special thanks are extended to Professor Martin Scialla of Italy for reviewing the Italian sections of the entire book, to Professor Zhang Mi for reviewing the Italian sections, and to Lei Jia, a graduate student in the 2002 master's class at the University of International Business and Economics, for proofreading the entire book.
