Features: This dictionary is arranged with three retrieval methods based on the different needs of readers:
(1) Arranged by the stroke count of each character in the term, with fewer strokes listed first. For characters with the same stroke count, the order is determined by the starting stroke shape. If the stroke count and starting stroke shape are the same, the term with fewer characters is listed first;
(2) At the end of each regulation provided, a sub-directory of the explained terms is arranged, allowing readers to quickly find the explanation of a term when encountering difficult-to-understand words while studying these regulations;
(3) An Hanyu Pinyin index of the terms is arranged at the back of the book for readers to search in order.
For terms with multiple meanings, this dictionary generally adopts the financial meaning, with occasional inclusion of other meanings. For terms within the financial category, this dictionary does not distinguish between banking, securities, insurance, etc., and generally explains the meaning based on the context in which the term appears. For multiple terms with the same meaning, additional explanations are usually not provided. Some terms require reference to other terms for further understanding, which is marked accordingly. Certain financial and legal terms refer to entities that no longer exist, but considering their historical significance, this dictionary still includes them. For a few financial and legal terms whose meanings have evolved, this dictionary strives to adopt the updated interpretation.
The primary target audience of this dictionary is grassroots financial workers. This dictionary is a medium-sized reference tool that combines financial law and financial business.
