Features: In the long history of Chinese poetics, traditional poetic discussions and critiques (zihua and cíhuà) were once the main forms and carriers of ancient poetic theory. Just as there is a significant difference in form between new poetry and old poetry, there is also a clear distinction between new poetic theory and traditional poetic discussions and critiques. The theory of new poetry in 20th-century China was a brand-new form of poetics that emerged alongside the birth and development of new poetry, undergoing a process of modernization. Compared to any previous era's poetic theory in China, whether in terms of connotation, scale, or practicality, it was unprecedented. From the perspective of ontology of life, the original autonomous rationality, as an autonomous component of the life essence of primitive peoples, determined that their life essence was defined in the sense of self-regulation. Looking back at the Chinese poetic scene of the 20th century, who could not be amazed by the sudden emergence of new poetry? Who could not be dazzled by the magnitude of its form changes? The appearance and rapid development of new poetry were not spontaneous but achieved under the infiltration and influence of certain poetics concepts and artistic thinking. In the history of new poetry development, new poetic theory and new poetic creation were closely linked and mutually beneficial, like the two wheels of a carriage and the two wings of a bird, jointly carrying the poetic spirit and soaring freely in the universe of poetry, forming the magnificent poetic landscape of this period.
