Features: The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a large-scale language ability test organized by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) worldwide. The test was first introduced in 1984 and was officially implemented in China in 1993. To date, the test has been established in test centers in 38 countries and regions around the world. As a government-level large-scale language ability test, the JLPT is jointly organized by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services and the Japan Foundation. Therefore, the test serves several functions, such as scientifically assessing Japanese language proficiency and standardizing Japanese language proficiency levels. Additionally, it provides a function for educational institutions in Japan to evaluate the Japanese proficiency of international students upon enrollment. It even serves a social function by providing language proficiency references for Japanese-invested companies in China when hiring employees.
