Features: Romance of Romania Literature is one of the core textbooks for senior undergraduate students in the Romanian Language and Literature program at Beijing Foreign Studies University. To meet the needs of cultivating comprehensive qualities of non-universal language talents in the new century and to strengthen the construction of our non-universal language talent base, we have comprehensively reformed the Romanian Literature curriculum based on the overall planning of the Romanian Language and Literature program. The purpose of this textbook is to focus on the study of renowned authors and masterpieces within the framework of introducing the development of Romanian literature, enabling students to further enhance their language proficiency and the ability to read and appreciate literary works in senior-level courses, thereby gaining a systematic and comprehensive understanding of Romanian literature. Following the main stages of Romanian literature from ancient to modern times, this textbook is divided into 9 chapters, namely: Folk Literature, Ancient Culture and Literature, Literature from 1780 to 1830, Literature of 1848, Literature after 1848, Classical Writers, Literature at the Turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries, Literature Between the Two World Wars, and Literature After the Second World War. Each chapter includes an overall introduction, selected readings of masterpieces, and literary knowledge. Following each masterpiece, there is an author introduction, literary and linguistic commentary, and a related vocabulary list for reference during student study.
