Features: Egypt is located at the northeastern corner of Africa. Geographically, it exhibits a closed characteristic, serving as a barrier against external invasions, which has resulted in relatively limited influence from foreign cultures. As a result, the historical process of ancient Egypt is quite continuous, with 31 dynasties successively following one another for three thousand years. The development of ancient Egyptian art is largely consistent with each historical stage. Ancient Egyptians believed in the immortality of the soul, and they invested significant wealth and effort in building tombs, thereby developing (corresponding) sculpture and painting techniques. Egyptian art relatively concentratedly depicts the same themes, adhering to unchangeable modeling rules, making it difficult for stylistic innovation to occur. Ancient Egyptian art exhibits very distinct morphological characteristics. In round sculpture, ancient Egyptians primarily (sculpted) human figures facing the viewer, emphasizing the portrayal of facial features, reflecting a modeling principle that combines idealization and standardization. In flat art, the Egyptians replaced visual realism with conceptual realism, forming what is known as the mixed front and side modeling method. In summary, the splendid Egyptian culture will allow you to appreciate the profound depth and breadth of an ancient civilization.
