The former analyzes and critiques prevailing historical theories such as the "Commercial Capital Theory" and the "Aisan Mode of Production Theory" from the perspective of historiographical theory, while systematically exploring the process and laws of Chinese social development based on Marxist theories of social formations. The latter is a monograph on the nature of Shang and Zhou society. The main contents of the book are: first, analyzing and critiquing prevailing historical theories such as the "Commercial Capital Theory" and the "Aisan Mode of Production Theory" from the perspective of historiographical theory; second, systematically exploring the process and laws of Chinese social development based on Marxist theories of social formations, combined with the actual history of China. The book proposes many pioneering and important viewpoints in the study of ancient Chinese history.
