Features: "Fundamentals of Ocular Pathology and Clinical Medicine" is a foundational text for studying ophthalmology. It covers both pathology and clinical aspects, moving from clinical cases to pathology and then back to clinical applications, which is the unique feature of this book. Embryology, anatomy, and histology are fundamental to clinical medicine and also to pathology. Combining these disciplines for discussion makes it easier to understand and remember. This is how we approach pathology in our studies, and the book is also written following this approach, though limited by our capabilities, it still falls short. The book consists of 22 chapters, systematically describing the organization and anatomical morphology of various anatomical regions, while also delving into key topics in depth, such as the histological structure and pathophysiology of the anterior chamber angle, which are described in conjunction with embryonic development and comparative anatomy. Part of the content comes from the author's own work and accumulated materials, while another part is provided by the author and colleagues from across the country during discussions on ophthalmic pathology. The remaining content is drawn from classic ophthalmology texts and recent literature, all centered around a core theme—the close integration of pathology and clinical medicine, with pathology serving to support clinical practice.
