Features: The status of systems science and systems engineering in contemporary Chinese science is crucial, which I have noticed during my visit to China. During the visit, the Chinese approach to thinking and problem-solving repeatedly left a deep impression on me. I am confident that this way of thinking will spread worldwide. This book aims to summarize the theoretical research, applied research, and teaching experience in systems science and engineering (systems science and systems engineering) carried out in our country over the past two decades, and to look forward to the further development of systems science and engineering in the 21st century. It was written based on a nationwide call for contributions and extensive solicitation of opinions. The book systematically discusses the fundamental theories, applied theories, and engineering applications of systems science and engineering, the relationship between systems science and engineering and related disciplines, the experience and insights of applying systems science and engineering theories, methods, and technologies in other disciplines, as well as the latest developments in system-related ideas, theories, methods, and technologies that are closely related to international and domestic research progress in systems science and engineering. This book can serve as a teaching text for graduate students in systems science, systems engineering, management engineering, computer science, and related engineering and management disciplines, as well as an advanced training and reference book for managers, engineering and technical personnel, and research and management personnel.
