Content of the Book: In terms of content, ci poetry is a lyrical form of poetry. In terms of structure, however, it is much more complex than poetic forms. This is because ci poetry originally referred to song lyrics (lyrics), which were written according to specific tune structures (also known as ci titles). Each ci title has its own specific form and rhythm. Generally speaking, the tune structure is not the title of the ci poem. In the early days, some tune structures were even used as titles. For example, "Fisherman's Song" depicted the life of fishermen, and "Yearning for Jiangnan" expressed longing for the Jiangnan region. However, most ci poets did not use the tune structure as a title, merely treating it as a title or a musical score. During the Song Dynasty, some poets often added an additional title below the tune structure to clarify the meaning of the ci, or even wrote a short preface.
