The book also includes content not covered in academic readings but of interest to most readers—content that is precisely the highlights of American culture. Such books are rarely seen in the domestic market. Additionally, while covering various aspects of American society, the author objectively introduces American culture. Second, its writing style is excellent—it is concise and easy to understand. Most articles are short yet rich in content, condensing a lot of information into brief passages. Dense writing often lacks clarity, but the language in this series is simple and readable, with uncomplicated sentence structures. The first and second volumes are understandable for middle and high school students, while the third volume suits university students in their first or second years. Third, there is significant room for improvement. The structure of each unit in the original book was designed for classroom teaching, with exercises such as vocabulary practice, reading comprehension, grammar exercises, writing exercises, and discussion and research-based exercises. These exercises are well-designed, with novel question types, closely aligned with the key and challenging points of the language.
