Features: The author's travelogue is devoted to describing traditional architecture in various regions, including temples, villages, and residential buildings. This is not merely a simple listing or presentation of them, but rather a connection through the journey of an architect. It not only provides a detailed description of the forms of the buildings but also explores the relationships between different architectures and traditional culture, human history, and ethnic customs of various regions, as well as the author's feelings and reflections on the buildings. This travelogue is divided into three volumes. This volume is titled "Golden and Azure Temples," which includes the "Daily Journey" and the "Western Regions Journey." "Daily Journey" records the author's travels in Tibet, Gansu, and Qinghai provinces, primarily following the main theme of Tibetan architecture. Meanwhile, "Western Regions" documents the author's travels in Xinjiang, entirely following a route for studying Islamic architecture in the Western Regions. This book mainly records the author's two western journeys to Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, and other regions. Written in the form of prose and combined with explanatory text, it guides readers into the mysterious and vast western region with elegant language.
