Features: This book compiles the academic experiences of renowned elderly traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experts in Beijing during the 1990s, summarizing them to leave a valuable legacy for future generations, with profound historical significance and bibliographic value. In the 1990s, Beijing carried out two large-scale collective apprenticeship learning activities across the city, guided by the document jointly issued by the Ministry of Personnel, the Ministry of Health, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which called for the inheritance of academic experiences of elderly TCM experts nationwide. A total of 69 inheritors were appointed for 35 national-level guiding TCM and integrated Chinese and Western medicine experts, systematically inheriting their academic experiences and technical expertise. Some TCM experts from central government institutions in Beijing also trained inheritors for our city. These two inheritance activities have now been successfully completed. To showcase the achievements of our city's inheritance work since the 1990s, the Beijing Administration of TCM has edited and published "Great Physicians of Exceptional Integrity (Academic Experiences of Renowned Elderly TCM Experts in Beijing in the 1990s)," with the aim of honoring and commemorating the elderly TCM experts of Beijing, inspiring and guiding the new generation of TCM practitioners, and leaving behind academic materials that are both practically valuable and historically significant for the development of TCM in Beijing.
