Publishing Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This dictionary includes two thousand entries of famous literary figures and masterpieces from around the world, divided into two main parts: the Chinese Literature Volume and the Foreign Literature Volume. The Chinese Literature Volume is further divided by dynasties, while the Foreign Literature Volume is organized by countries and regions. All entries in the dictionary are arranged in chronological order based on the birth date of the authors and the publication date of the works. The dictionary features a table of contents, which lists only the primary and secondary headings. In the "Highlight Articles" section, the secondary headings include both entries for famous literary figures and masterpieces. For entries where both a literary figure and their works are listed, the figure appears first in the table of contents, marked in Songtype font, while the works follow, marked in Fangsongtype font. Some masterpieces are traditional folk literature passed down through generations without a definite author or anonymous works celebrated across the centuries. In such cases, only the works are listed in this dictionary. At the end of the dictionary, there is a Pinyin index of all the entries in Chinese.
