Features: Since its publication in 1996, the "Popular Series on Safety Education for Enterprise Employees" has played an active role in promoting national safety production and popularizing safety knowledge among workers. Entering the 21st century, with China's entry into the WTO, deepening reform and opening-up, and the development of the market economy, the situation of safety production across the country has undergone significant changes—laws and regulations such as the "Work Safety Law" and the "Occupational Disease Prevention Law" have been successively enacted, and the legal framework for safety production is gradually being improved. The safety production supervision system has been further strengthened, and modern safety production management knowledge and scientific and technological knowledge have become more abundant. Accordingly, we have organized experts from across the country specializing in safety production to comprehensively revise this series. The principle of our revision is to ensure both the scientific rigor and modern relevance of safety production management and technological knowledge, while also considering the popularization and practicality of the series. During the writing process, the experts have taken the newly promulgated laws and regulations of the state as the basis, guided by modern safety science and technology and modern safety production management theory, and answered practical questions in current safety production and labor protection work in enterprises with scientific, accurate, and accessible language. After revision, the second edition of the series consists of 10 volumes: "Q&A on Enterprise Safety Management Knowledge," "Q&A on Industrial Fire and Explosion Prevention Knowledge," "Q&A on Mechanical Safety Knowledge," "Q&A on Electrical Safety Knowledge," "Q&A on Boiler Safety Knowledge," "Q&A on Pressure Vessel Safety Knowledge," "Q&A on Occupational Health Knowledge," "Q&A on Construction Safety Knowledge," "Q&A on Mine Safety Knowledge," and "Q&A on Work Injury Compensation Knowledge." The "Work Safety Law" stipulates that "enterprises and production units shall provide safety production education and training for their employees to ensure that they possess the necessary safety production knowledge, are familiar with relevant safety production rules and regulations and safe operating procedures, and master the safe operating skills of their respective positions." Recently, the State Administration of Work Safety has issued the "Opinions on Safety Production Training for Leaders of Enterprises and Production Units, Safety Production Management Personnel, and Other Employees," providing specific arrangements for the assessment of safety production training for different categories of personnel. This series can serve as a training textbook for comprehensive safety education for employees in enterprises and can also be used as a reference for enterprise leaders, safety production management personnel, and trade union labor protection inspection personnel.
