Features: The China M&A Report (2003) is the third annual report on China's M&A activities published by the Global M&A Research Center, building upon the China M&A Report (2001 and 2002). The book was compiled by academic committee members of the Global M&A Research Center, experts and scholars in the financial industry, renowned professionals in the M&A field (lawyers, accountants, appraisers, investment banks, etc.), as well as faculty and students from the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China and North China University of Technology engaged in M&A research. Industry professionals from Hong Kong and Taiwan also contributed important chapters and materials.
In 2002, China's M&A industry was exceptionally active, earning that year the title of the "Year of China's M&A." The China M&A Report meticulously documents the ups and downs of this pivotal year. It showcases changes in the domestic and international M&A environment, significant M&A events in China and globally, influential figures in the M&A market, the M&A landscape of key industries, classic M&A cases, nerve-wracking MBOs and listed company mergers, substantial progress in M&A legislation, the diversification of M&A financing methods, the M&A situation in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and an analysis of M&A events and overall market trends. The report summarizes valuable lessons from practical operations while also providing authentic data for academic research.
