The field archaeological materials include the clearing data of the Tomb Chamber of the Great King's Tomb, which was conducted by the Jilin Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in 1990, as well as the excavation data of the accompanying tomb and sacrificial platform of the General's Tomb from 1997-1998. The primary data are based on the investigation, surveying, and environmental remediation of the Gaoli King's Tomb in Jilin in 2003. The line drawings included in this book consist of three parts: measurements, base maps, and redrawings. The Gaoli King's Tombs have recently been approved by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage.
