Features: For a long time, exploring the history of cultural exchange between the East and the West and tracing the spread of the Silk Road culture have been important research topics for scholars and experts at home and abroad. Since the 1980s of this century, archaeologists and cultural relic workers in Ningxia have carried out emergency clearance on dozens of Spring and Autumn, Warring States, and Qin-Han tombs, as well as scientific excavations on more than ten Northern Wei, Sui, and Tang tombs, under the strong support of the regional government at all levels and the National Cultural Relics Administration, as well as the active organization and planning by the Regional Cultural Relics Management Committee and the Cultural Department's Cultural Relics Bureau, based on the results of exploration and surveys by the former Yuyuan County Cultural Relics Work Station (on which the Yuyuan Museum was subsequently built). It was as if a treasure trove of cultural relics buried deep underground was opened, revealing a wealth of precious artifacts featuring Northern ethnic characteristics, such as bronze ware and gold decorations, colorful lacquer coffin paintings, rustic-style pottery figurines, and exotic gold, silver, glass, and gold coin artifacts.
