Features: This is the first original television musical in China and even in the world. The story follows the journey of five young and beautiful girls as they form a group, telling a tale of friendship and love. The musical employs a singing-and-dancing performance style: a lighthearted and humorous comedy style, cartoon-like character designs that are exaggerated, dynamic, and fashionable, offering audiences a brand-new experience. This television musical, produced in its entirety by China Television Network (CCTV) and its China Television Drama Production Center, will be officially launched by CCTV. "Coffee Apple Pie" is a male-female singing duo from a tourism college. Coffee is a rebellious boy, though dark-skinned, yet cool. Apple appears gentle but is strong-willed, stubborn, and headstrong. The two young singers, who are both first-time lovers and partners, were originally planning to participate in the "National Campus Original Song Competition" held in their city. However, during a commercial advertisement filming session, they fell out due to differences in artistry and personality. Despite this, their mutual thoughts for each other never ceased. Yet, when love began to subtly blossom between them, various reasons caused them to miss their chance, deepening misunderstandings and pain between them. The stubborn Apple decides to start her own group, which is joined by her dormitory friends Banana, Pineapple, and Coconut, naming the group "Fruit Girls." However, the dormitory's Lychee not only refuses to join the group but also tries to get close to the coffee she has secretly admired for a long time, persuading her to form a duet with Coffee called "Coffee with Ice" to challenge Apple.
