Features: Since the establishment of China's market economy system has laid the foundation for the formulation of the Civil Code, China's judicial practice has accumulated rich practical experience in the formulation of the Civil Code, and numerous civil law scholars have made extensive theoretical preparations. Therefore, it is entirely feasible to promulgate a comprehensive and well-structured Civil Code that aligns with China's national conditions, and it will provide strong support for China's economic takeoff, cultural prosperity, and long-term stability in the 21st century. We have every reason to believe that the publication of a Chinese-characteristic, advanced, and comprehensive Civil Code will become a reality in the near future. If the promulgation of the French Civil Code in the early 19th century and the German Civil Code in the early 20th century became significant achievements in the history of global civil law development, then the introduction of the Chinese Civil Code in the early 21st century will undoubtedly leave a glorious chapter in the history of civil law development.
"Private Law" advocates the integration of private law as a whole discipline for comprehensive research, placing particular emphasis on the fundamental theories of private law. It is an academic journal with great originality and theoretical depth. In fact, the current draft Civil Code submitted to the National People's Congress for deliberation exhibits some legislative arbitrariness, which is a result of the lack of general theoretical research on private law, especially the lack of comprehensive research on private law as a whole.
