Features: In the early 1990s, China experienced a major discussion on the market economy, and research on the market became a hot topic. Ten years later, as history's wheels entered the 21st century and faced changes in the international and domestic economic environment, especially China's entry into the WTO, discussions about the marketization of China's economy again emerged both domestically and internationally. However, unlike a decade ago, this discussion was more concentrated abroad. In 1999, the American Agricultural Trade Research and Policy Association held an international symposium on "China's Agricultural Trade and Policy" in San Francisco, focusing on China's entry into the WTO and its impact on agricultural markets and trade. In May 2001, an international symposium on "China's Economic Marketization" was held in Clermont-Ferrand, France. In June 2001, the Australian International Agricultural Policy Research Center hosted a seminar on "China's Grain Marketization" in Kunshan, Jiangsu. In reality, the principle is simple: if one lacks an understanding of China's market conditions and market behavior, it is difficult to effectively enter the Chinese market. This is the root of the international focus on China's market and market research. Domestically, the analysis of the pros and cons of China's entry into the WTO would lack a foundation and scientific basis. In summary, the study of China's agricultural market behavior has become an important and urgent topic before us. The intended audience for this book primarily includes researchers in agricultural markets and prices from scientific research institutions and universities, as well as leaders and policymakers in various government departments. It can also serve as a teaching reference for university teachers and students. The book is divided into eight chapters, covering topics such as theoretical issues related to agricultural market behavior, analytical methods for agricultural market behavior, the development and changes in agricultural markets and prices, regional fluctuations in agricultural prices, and the behavioral relationships between agricultural markets in different domestic regions.
