Features: To adapt to the demands of the times and cultivate outstanding erhu players, while continuously improving and enriching the playing techniques and expressiveness of the erhu, further enhancing and enriching teaching methods and materials is a highly critical issue. The art of violin playing has, through a long development process, formed a relatively perfect and scientific training system, accompanied by a wealth of teaching materials. Our national bowed string instruments, while retaining traditional teaching methods, boldly adopt the training approaches and content of the violin, which will broaden our thinking and playing horizons. This textbook follows this approach, selecting suitable content from violin etudes by composers such as Kayser, Dont, Mazas, Kreutzer, and Paganini for erhu training. The original scores have been adjusted and modified according to the standard tuning and range of the erhu, with the bowing and fingering recompiled and organized into two volumes based on a progressive learning curve. This volume primarily covers various left-hand finger distance changes, shifting techniques, and vibrato, as well as different bowing techniques and the use of various bow sections on the right hand. It is suitable for erhu enthusiasts with a certain level of playing experience and students of medium-level music schools. This volume continues the foundational training content of the first volume, increasing the difficulty in comprehensive left- and right-hand techniques. The lower volume is intended for students of higher music conservatories. The last two etudes in this textbook are not only suitable for practice but also, due to their excellent stage performance effects, can be used as performance pieces. For this reason, piano accompaniment scores are provided.
