Features: An oral record of the mixed-race Chinese-Israeli iron red, unprecedented revelation of the secret history of the Burma Road: a journey symbolizing the road where faith, love, and war directly reach the suffering and profound souls. This book recreates the history of the famous wave of Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution and seeking refuge in China, as experienced by the author's mother (a German Jew). On the Burma Road, the mother met and fell in love with her Chinese father and eventually married him. In China, she experienced the War of Resistance against Japan, the Chinese Civil War, and the land reform. Due to differences in faith, they divorced, took the author back to Israel, and became entangled in the Middle Eastern War. The mother remarried an American pilot she met in China and moved to the United States. When the author grew up, he/ she made a firm decision to return to China to find his/ her birth father but encountered a life-altering love on another road in the Golden Triangle. The lover, "Han," who had awakened from the drug world, sacrificed his/ her life in pursuit of truth, completely changing the author's fate. Thirty years later, the author's son stepped onto the battlefield of Iraq, almost fatefully experiencing the same confusion as the author.
This book is based on little-known real backgrounds and events, involving three wars, three countries, and three generations, woven together by three roads. It delves into the essence of modern warfare through the motivations of profit, ideology, and faith, exploring how war affects lives and how love resists the "evil" of war. It showcases the courage, difficulty, and complex motivations of humanity's pursuit of truth. It is the first work in China to explore the mysteries of the transformation of the nature of global warfare after the Cold War—the spiritual battle of the human soul.
