Features: Gao Fengxiang, born in the 22nd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1683), and died in the 13th year of the Qianlong reign (1748), styled Xiyuan, styled Nanvun, styled Nanfu Laoren, was from Jiaozhou (now Jiaoxian) in Shandong. He resided in Yangzhou. He held the position of Zhenzhou Jixi County Magistrate. He had a bold temperament, was skilled in poetry, calligraphy, painting, seal carving, and loved inkstones, collecting over a thousand pieces. He wrote the book "Yan Shi." In his later years (Dingsi), he suffered from an arm ailment and created calligraphy and painting with his left hand, self-styled as "Houshang Zuosheng" and also as "Dingsi Canren," becoming a famous left-handed calligrapher and painter in the Qing Dynasty. He used colors in a unique way. He had a deep friendship with Jin Nong, Zheng Banqiao, Gao Xiang, and others of the Yangzhou Eight, engaging in close exchanges of poetry, calligraphy, and painting, and their styles were also similar. He was one of the important members of the Yangzhou School of Painting. This album includes many of his works.
