Features: ig">The series textbook "English" (Higher Vocational and Specialized College Edition) is part of the "Ministry of Education's Higher Vocational and Specialized College Planning Textbooks" and is designed for non-English majors with low starting levels in higher vocational and specialized colleges. This series of textbooks is based on the "Basic Requirements for English Curriculum Teaching in Higher Vocational and Specialized Colleges" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2000. It aims to combine language proficiency training with practical foreign language activities, enabling students to learn and apply from the beginning—learning a little, using a little, and mastering a little. The series consists of the main textbook "English" (Volumes 1–4), "English Comprehensive Exercises" (Volumes 1–4), and "English Teacher's Reference Book" (Volumes 1–4). Each student textbook is accompanied by an audio cassette. "English 1" includes 20 units with a vocabulary starting point of 800 words. The main purpose of this book is to help students with entry-level proficiency below the "Basic Requirements" to review and consolidate the pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary they have learned in secondary school, laying a foundation for further study. To facilitate the use of this book for beginners, basic language knowledge, basic grammar, and basic vocabulary are provided at the back. The back of the book is also accompanied by the CD-ROM "English Multimedia Learning Course 1." The CD-ROM includes six modules: Text Learning, Language Skills, Grammar Learning, Vocabulary Learning, Test Yourself, and Fun Time.
