Features: We know that Chinese painting is divided into meticulous and freehand styles in terms of expression. Their techniques and aesthetic effects are different. Compared to meticulous painting, which is rigorous, delicate, colorful, meticulous, and relatively realistic, freehand painting is concise, generalized, unrestrained, and does not focus on form but rather on capturing the essence, being relatively abstract. Meticulous floral painting is a type of Chinese painting that uses flowers as its subject. Since ancient times, people have developed a deep appreciation for the products of the wonderful natural world—flowers. Love of beauty is human nature, and fresh flowers are symbols of beauty. For a long time, their vibrant colors and graceful forms have deeply attracted people's attention. Meticulous floral painting presents the images of flowers that people love in works, decorating their living environments, enriching and enhancing everyone's spiritual life, subtly cultivating people's temperament, and promoting the progress of human spiritual civilization. Before coloring, a meticulous painting should be a relatively perfect line drawing. Line drawing is a fundamental skill for creating meticulous paintings. Every enthusiast of meticulous painting practices line drawing as a fundamental skill, and every painter also brings line drawing to its peak. Line-drawn floral painting primarily depicts flowers, shrubs, and fragrant grasses. Drawing every line well is the key to creating good line-drawn floral paintings. Flowers are divided into two categories: aquatic and terrestrial. Terrestrial flowers are generally divided into three types: 1. Herbs: refer to grasses that are mostly non-woody, low, and tender. Herbs are further divided into: 1-year and 2-year seed plants, such as morning glories and rosemallows; perennial rootstock plants, such as orchids, narcissus, and hellebores, which all have developed bulbs or fleshy roots, and their rootstocks can also be painted. 2. Woody plants: refer to perennial trees with thick, solid, and sturdy stems and branches. Those with distinct trunks and tall, upright crowns are called tall trees, such as magnolias, kapok, and pines. 3. Vines: have slender, flexible, and winding main stems that cannot stand upright. They are further divided into: Climbing vines: plants that grow by curling and wrapping their stems around themselves or other objects, such as wisteria and morning glories. Climbing stems: plants that grow by using rootlets outside the stem nodes to climb on supporting structures, such as grapes, pumpkins, cucumbers, and clematis. Common aquatic flowers are mostly herbs. Examples include lotus flowers, water hyacinths, and duckweed.
