Features: The establishment of the International Criminal Court is undoubtedly a significant milestone in the development of the international criminal law system. The clear objective of the International Criminal Court is to prevent crimes that seriously endanger human peace and development, seek justice, and heal the psychological trauma of victims. For many Chinese scholars, the International Criminal Court is not an unfamiliar concept. Currently, there are numerous academic articles and publications covering this field. In February 2003, the China National Key Research Base located in Beijing, the Research Center for Criminal Law Science at Renmin University of China, and the Asian Legal Resource Center based in Hong Kong jointly organized the first international symposium on the International Criminal Court in Haikou, China. The international conference, which lasted for three days and was themed "International Criminal Court," was attended by many renowned scholars and experts from China and around the world. This conference had a very positive impact, and the collection of Chinese papers from the symposium has been published.
