"Interpretation of the Protection of Minors and Related Legal Norms" is one of the series. On September 4, 1991, and June 8, 1999, China successively promulgated the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors" and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency." To further improve the legal protection system for minors and provide stronger legal safeguards and a better social environment for cultivating qualified talents for the 21st century, the Supreme People's Court issued the "Interpretation of Certain Issues Concerning the Application of Law in Handling Juvenile Criminal Cases" on May 2, 1995, and the "Provisions for Adjudicating Juvenile Criminal Cases" on April 4, 2001; the Supreme People's Procuratorate also issued the "Provisions of the Procuratorate on Handling Juvenile Criminal Cases" on April 22, 2002, thereby initially forming the basic legal protection system for minors in China. This book is centered on the above interpretations, including their standard texts and related background materials, while also compiling laws, regulations, and newly released rules and interpretive documents related to them, to facilitate judges, procurators, lawyers, and readers in accurately understanding and applying the interpretations and related content on the protection of minors.
