Features: The "Huangting Jing" (Yellow Court Scripture) is a Daoist classic that narrates the principles of Daoist health cultivation and self-cultivation. Its authorship is debated, with some claiming it was written by Laozi during the Spring and Autumn Period, while others attribute it to Wei Fang during the Wei and Jin Dynasties. However, neither claim can be confirmed, as they are merely legends. This scripture was extremely popular during the Wei and Jin periods. This particular copy is also known as the "Water Stain Edition." There is worm damage and wear under the character "yang" in the seventh line. The characters "yao su" and "xiu taiping" in the text, as well as the missing final stroke of the character "yuan" in three instances, suggest that this is an ancient woodblock print from the Song Dynasty. The ink is dense and the rubbing is clear, with exquisite brushwork and ink. It is considered a masterpiece. The album leaf is accompanied by inscriptions from the Ming Dynasty, one by the renowned calligrapher Wang Xideng, who stated that this album leaf was once owned by Gu Congyi, a Ming Dynasty collector of stone inscriptions, and another by the great collector Zhu Zhichi. This album leaf was acquired by the famous Tianjin collector Zhang Shuchen, who donated it to the Tianjin Art Museum in 1981.
