Features: The motherland has a long and profound history. Ancient sages like Qi Huang and Shennong were the pioneers of medicine; Han Dynasty's Zhang Zhongjing and Hua Tuo were revered as the sages of medicine. Throughout the long river of the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the motherland, outstanding clinical experts have emerged one after another, promoting the rapid development of traditional Chinese medicine. In line with the spirit of inheriting and promoting the motherland's medical heritage, with inheritance not rigidly adhering to ancient practices and promotion not deviating from its roots, the China National Press of Traditional Chinese Medicine, after completing the publication of The Great Collection of Ming and Qing Dynasty Medical Masters, planned the Series of 100 Famous Modern Chinese Clinical Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This series aims to reflect the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the 20th century, especially in the 50 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China. We invited Zhang Wenkang, Minister of Health, to serve as the chief editor of this series, with She Jing, Deputy Minister of Health and Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Li Zhenji, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as deputy editors. They readily agreed and personally organized hundreds of experts in traditional Chinese medicine to compile the series. After years of effort, it was finally officially launched at the beginning of the 21st century.
This series plans to publish around 140 volumes. The selected medical masters are all renowned clinical practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in clinical practice, enjoy high prestige nationwide, and possess profound academic expertise. They represent the best in various fields, including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, acupuncture, and moxibustion. We believe that The Series of 100 Famous Modern Chinese Clinical Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine will be favored byin-medicine practitioners and will play a significant role in advancing the development of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, by summarizing the experiences of over 100 clinical practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, the development of traditional Chinese medicine over the past century will be clearly presented before the public. Therefore, this series not only holds high clinical reference value and academic value but also possesses unprecedented documentary value, which is the sincere motivation behind organizing and compiling this series.
