Chapter 4: Current Status and Social Harm of Computer Crimes describes the basic status of computer crimes in major developed countries and China using extensive statistics and cases, elaborating on the harm that computer crimes have already caused or may potentially bring to human society.
Chapter 5: Types, Characteristics, and Causes of Computer Crimes employs theories and methods from criminal law, criminology, and computer security technology, along with the author's understanding of the concept of computer crimes and specific cases of computer crimes both domestically and internationally, to classify them. It analyzes the characteristics of crimes from aspects such as the perpetrator, the object of the crime, evidence collection, losses and impacts, sentencing, and prevention and control. It explores the causes of crimes from perspectives such as cognition, technology, economy, psychology, and control.
