Features: This book covers and discusses a wealth of content: including the basic theories of nursing sociology, the application of foundational nursing sociological theories in practical settings, as well as research methods such as questionnaires, observation, and interviews in nursing sociological studies. These contents not only reflect the sociological disciplinary attributes of nursing sociology but also highlight the characteristics of an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of nursing and sociology. Therefore, this book serves as a valuable resource for broadening the knowledge base of nursing professionals, helping them understand and grasp the developmental trends in nursing. The book primarily targets students in nursing undergraduate and specialized education programs across the country, serving as a core textbook for higher nursing education. It can also be used as self-study material for continuing nursing education and clinical nursing practitioners, as well as a reference for sociological scholars and nursing educators conducting research in nursing sociology. To fully embody the interdisciplinary nature of nursing sociology, we formed a writing team comprising dedicated humanities and social science teachers and nursing professionals. During the writing process, we extensively drew on research findings from nursing sociology and related disciplines both domestically and internationally. When discussing issues, we strive to balance scientific rigor and thought-provoking insights, offering both intellectual stimulation and practical benefits. In presenting content, we focus on clarity and simplicity, ensuring the material is accessible and engaging for readers.
