Features: The "Tibetan-English-Chinese Comparative Dictionary" includes over 2,000 commonly used terms related to Tibetan history, culture, religious beliefs, and customs. It is highly practical and serves as a reference for translation workers, researchers, and readers learning Tibetan or English. The expressions in Tibetan, English, and Chinese have similarities and differences, and mutual translation can better convey nuances. Therefore, some Tibetan entries may have several corresponding English or Chinese terms, and users are advised to choose the appropriate ones. The author often encountered inconsistencies and even errors in the English translations of Tibetan terms related to Tibetan history, culture, religion, and customs during their translation work. They had long aspired to compile a comparative Tibetan-English dictionary to provide convenience for translators and researchers. This dictionary is primarily based on the long-term materials accumulated in the author's work, and as many as possible, it has collected and referenced commonly used terms from published English-language Tibetan studies books and periodicals at home and abroad, resulting in approximately 2,000 entries in total. To expand its scope of use, in addition to the original Tibetan-English text, relevant entries were selected from the "Tibetan-Chinese Dictionary" to enrich the content.
