Features: This book divides the entire field of juvenile delinquency studies into five parts. Part I is the Introduction, which primarily introduces general issues in juvenile delinquency studies, including the concept of juvenile delinquency, the positioning of juvenile delinquency studies, the history and current state of research in this field, and other related topics. Part II is the Phenomenology, which analyzes the general overview and developmental changes of juvenile delinquency from the ontological perspective of juvenile delinquency. It also examines the types of juvenile delinquency and delinquents, enabling a clearer understanding of juvenile delinquency phenomena at both macro and micro levels. Part III is the Causation, which focuses on introducing important viewpoints and theories regarding the causes of juvenile delinquency. It further conducts systematic and complex analyses of the causes of juvenile delinquency at both macro and micro levels. The causation of juvenile delinquency is one of the most important contents in juvenile delinquency studies. Only with a correct understanding of the mechanisms of juvenile delinquency can scientific and rational prevention systems be proposed. Part IV is the Countermeasures, which primarily revolves around the countermeasures for juvenile delinquency, studying the prevention of juvenile delinquency, comprehensive governance systems, and the prediction of juvenile delinquency. In particular, we emphasize that the prevention and punishment of juvenile delinquency must be based on the protection of the rights of juveniles. At the same time, we recognize that one of the causes of juvenile delinquency is the infringement of the rights of juveniles and the failure to provide effective legal protection for their rights. Therefore, the legal protection of juveniles is also included as part of the countermeasures for juvenile delinquency. Part V is the Criminal Sanction, which primarily introduces the most important and currently most systematic core content in the system of punitive and preventive measures for juvenile delinquency—the criminal sanction system. It also discusses the development and improvement of China's juvenile criminal justice system. It is hoped that the content and format of this book can serve as an attempt to provide a more innovative interpretation and analysis of juvenile delinquency studies.
