To help students better tackle the exercises, the following steps and methods are introduced:
1. English articles generally have their central theme and main idea. Therefore, we suggest that you first skim the entire article from beginning to end, as people often say, "Get the overall picture first." This will give you a clearer approach to solving the problems and help you select the correct answers.
2. When answering, after reading each sentence, rely fully on the language knowledge you have accumulated. Based on the meaning of the words in the text, grammar, logic, and collocation, infer what word should be filled in. Avoid hastily selecting an answer from the four options provided. Instead, analyze each option carefully, reading and considering them one by one.
3. During the trial filling process, pay attention to the context and look for clues. Check if there are similar situations elsewhere in the text that can serve as references.
4. After filling in all the answers, perform a final check. Re-examining the questions you have answered will allow you to review everything from another perspective, thereby improving the accuracy of your answers.
The "Cloze Test Exercises" includes 100 passages. The passages cover a wide range of topics and are engaging and interesting, carefully and scientifically organized and summarized. Reference answers are provided at the end.
