Features: It's a "Semid" (i.e., a sand fairy). One day, while children were digging in a gravel pit, they discovered it. It was already thousands of years old. Of course, sand fairies could help people fulfill their wishes—but only one wish per day, and everything would end when the sun went down. Anicia, Cyril, Robert, and Jane thought this was fantastic. Their little brother was too young to make a wish and spent most of his time at home; but the others were thinking about exciting things. But what, exactly? To become beautiful, rich, or to fly like a bird? Sometimes it was hard to come up with a truly good wish, but it was easy to blurt out "I wish," and then you'd get something you didn't really want. That's when the sand fairy refused to help. When things went wrong, it would get angry and say, "Why didn't you think it through first?" And indeed, things often went wrong.
