Features: This series of textbooks was developed in line with the guidance of the Ministry of Education on textbook construction during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period, aiming to meet the 21st-century talent cultivation goals of enhancing knowledge, self-learning abilities, and innovative awareness. It is primarily intended for long-term dental medicine students. Based on the training objectives and curriculum characteristics of the long-term dental medicine program, this textbook is divided into fourteen chapters: Introduction, Skull, Temporomandibular Joint, Muscles, Salivary Glands, Blood Vessels, Lymph Nodes and Lymphatic Vessels, Nerves, Regional Oral Anatomy, Regional Pharyngeal Anatomy, Regional Facial Anatomy, Regional Neck Anatomy, Regional Cranial Anatomy, and Regional Oral and Maxillofacial CT Anatomy. All anatomical terms in the book are based on the "Terminology of Human Anatomy" promulgated by the Commission on the Nomenclature of Natural Sciences of the Human Body in 1991. During the writing process, efforts were made to adopt a student-centered approach, emphasizing fundamental knowledge and concepts, closely integrating clinical applications, and appropriately reflecting recent advancements. To facilitate self-study and address the difficulties in understanding and memorizing anatomy, the book includes additional illustrations to ensure close coordination between text and visuals, focusing on the hierarchical relationships of anatomical structures and reinforcing three-dimensional concepts. To enhance learning interest and guide students to apply basic anatomical knowledge to analyze and solve practical clinical diagnostic and treatment problems, each chapter (except the fourteenth) includes review questions and case analyses. These cases vividly illustrate and validate the learned anatomical theories, transforming passive learning into an active process. Additionally, the book includes new content on oral and maxillofacial CT anatomy reflecting recent advancements. In terms of writing style, it first covers systemic oral and maxillofacial anatomy before moving on to regional anatomy, ensuring both systematicity and practicality. Beyond serving as a dental medicine textbook, this book can also be referenced by clinicians in head and neck oncology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
