Features: With the development of China's healthcare system, the overall incidence of infectious diseases has declined, but some infectious diseases, such as viral hepatitis, still remain at high levels. In recent years, several new infectious diseases have emerged, including SARS, avian influenza, and the rapid growth of HIV infection and incidence in China. Therefore, the prevention and control of infectious diseases remain severe. This year, China promulgated the newly revised Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, and Jiangsu Province established the Infectious Disease Medical Quality Control Center. The diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases have entered an era of legalization and standardization. To strengthen the basic management of infectious disease hospitals and departments and enhance the "Three Basics" training, we have organized relevant experts to compile this Guidance for the "Three Basics" Training of Medical Personnel in Medical Institutions (Infectious Diseases Department) as a reference book for "Three Basics" training and examination assessments in various infectious disease hospitals and departments at all levels.
