Features: Life is not anything else, nor can it be replaced by anything else. Everything else is a natural extension of life, with creation being the closest to life. If the entire life exists within a creative atmosphere, life has essentially entered into life itself. But everyone must relive it in their own way and personally prove it. Whenever we face a real question about life, armed with genuine and profound experiences and pursuits, no matter how much thought we put into it or how satisfactory the answer may be, it remains only a vague and inconclusive thing. Out of necessity, I too made an inappropriate choice, but in reality, it holds a certain degree of authenticity. So I say: The fundamental reason why I choose to live and pursue in this way is nothing but a dream of life that belonged to me in my teens. What kind of dream? It was merely a vague imagination. What kind of imagination? If I must put it into words, it is nothing but an imagination that makes one feel that there truly exists something perfect in the world or in life. What is perfection? I don’t know, not even entirely, but I have already sensed its possibility and existence. Or perhaps there is something whose possibility is already its existence. Shi Zuozheng’s uniqueness lies in his ultimate pursuit of the thorough understanding and comprehension of life. This makes him a rare existential philosopher in contemporary China. The lack of creativity in today’s academic circles, under the objective research aimed at knowledge, leads to symbolizing symbols without seeing the possibility of creation. However, Shi Zuozheng’s proposal of metaphysical aesthetics inspires us with the possibility of creating a new civilization. This is the commentary on Mr. Shi Zuozheng made by Mr. Li Zhengzhi, a professor at Tamkang University in Taiwan, in his article "Shi Zuozheng’s Metaphysical Aesthetics and Its Enlightenment to Academia." Mr. Shi Zuozheng’s works on science, philosophy, anthropology, art, and even religion are the fruits of decades of in-depth research and systematic exploration. At the same time, these works of Mr. Shi are of original quality, not just a pile of text and theories. Mr. Shi is a poet, musician, painter, and philosopher, and he once tried to become a mathematician. We can say he is a lifelong practitioner of what Confucius said, "Quick in learning and fond of it." The volume titled "Life Phenomena" in the book "Life Phenomena" is a well-known work of Mr. Shi before the age of forty-five. The other volume in the book, "Philosophy, Aesthetics, and the Traces of Life," details the life and emotions of Mr. Shi when he wrote this book around the age of fifty-seven, as well as providing concise hints about his complex philosophical anthropology methods. Mr. Shi Zuozheng believes that the most important function of philosophy is to explain and interpret art, and to serve as a bridge to harmonize religion and science. At the same time, it allows these four major fields of human civilization to achieve a correct and complete understanding through philosophical harmonization, with a fuller possibility of permeating human civilization and maturing their souls. He also believes that beyond philosophy, people should use poetry to let readers hear the melody and notes of the original inner self, ultimately returning to a direct connection with nature. On one hand, it is to awaken oneself, possessing the infinite possibility of standing tall and taking bold steps; on the other hand, it is to use the new vitality of maturity to encompass the lies and violence in external civilization, replacing them with genuine mutual love, allowing the great and righteous spirit of the inner hero to emerge and surround people’s lives. For Mr. Shi Zuozheng, life is an unending process of self-correction, and life is still about seeking a "vital living" and the "possibility and awakening of the vast world of the human mind." Through the pursuit of life phenomena, Mr. Shi truly wants to tell the readers is: one should make oneself "completely open, becoming a person who pursues and is stopped by a sense of relief." Life is not anything else, nor can it be replaced by anything else. Everything else is a natural extension of life, with creation being the closest to life. If the entire life exists within a creative atmosphere, life has essentially entered into life itself. But everyone must relive it in their own way, and personally prove it.
