Features: In the long history of China, the Yuan Dynasty's rule lasted for over a hundred years, yet under the unprecedented "unified" situation, the mutual influence and integration of agricultural, nomadic, and hunting-fishing cultures left an indelible mark on the social lives of all ethnic groups in China. This book is divided into 16 chapters. The first three chapters introduce the basic conditions of Yuan Dynasty society, including territorial divisions, ecological environments, population, and ethnic distribution, with a focus on explaining the impact of the integration of nomadic and agricultural cultures on the social life of the Yuan Dynasty. Chapter 4 is dedicated to the marital and family status and wedding customs of the Yuan Dynasty. Chapters 5 to 11 cover aspects of clothing, food, housing, and transportation, with three chapters specifically dedicated to the characteristics of the Yuan Dynasty, focusing on the royal residences, urban housing, and rural living, as well as the medical and health conditions and funeral customs of the Yuan Dynasty. The last three chapters introduce ethics, social prohibitions, etiquette, seasonal customs, and entertainment. At the end of the book, there are 60 reference images, mainly selected from collections such as The Great Illustrated Album of Chinese Ancient Civilization, Selected Archaeological Finds from Inner Mongolia, Reference Maps of Ancient Chinese History, and The Northern Nomadic Peoples of China—Archaeological Exhibition.
