Features: Art, including what, has had many interpretations in the past. In reality, the types of art are also diverse. Here, we select calligraphy, painting, music, and dance as four representative forms. These four hold significant positions in the realm of art and are closely related to poetry. We have chosen over a hundred poems from various dynasties that celebrate calligraphy, painting, music, and dance, providing interpretations and brief introductions, compiling them into a collection titled "Selected Poems on Appreciating Art." Readers can not only enjoy the exquisite poetry but also experience the charm of traditional Chinese art through the verses. They can broaden their knowledge of appreciation and cultivate their aesthetic sentiments. After work or meals, reciting these poems softly is a noble form of artistic enjoyment. Poetry, as well as the art forms of calligraphy, painting, music, and dance, may have distinct differences and unique characteristics, but in essence, they share a common origin. Su Dongpo once said, "Wang Wei's poems contain paintings, and paintings contain poems." In fact, this is not only true for Wang Wei. A painting without poetic essence is not a good painting, and a poem without painterly imagery is not a good poem either. Painting and calligraphy both rely on lines for expression, making them naturally connected. Zheng Banqiao's bamboo and orchid paintings share the same artistic spirit as his calligraphy. Zhao Ziqian wrote in his poem about painting pines: "Many ancient painters used seal and clerical scripts to paint pines, and now I add cursive script to it." This shows that some painters and calligraphers consciously utilize the connections between painting and calligraphy. Calligraphy also has a fascinating bond with dance. In summary, these art forms are interconnected, permeating, influencing, and inspiring each other, forming the unique style of traditional Chinese art.
