Features: This book is the concluding outcome of the annual key research project of the Tourism Management discipline, a key construction subject in Beijing. First, outbound tourism is increasingly prominent in China's tourism industry, having become the fastest-growing market segment in terms of both the number of travelers and consumer spending. Second, achieving cross-border operations and scale expansion for Chinese tourism enterprises requires a deeper, more detailed understanding, analysis, and research of the outbound tourism market and industry. Third, we believe that after more than 20 years of development, China's tourism academic evolution and higher education development need a batch of original, landmark research outcomes. Meanwhile, on a global scale, outbound tourism is one of the most promising fields for China's tourism academic research. Therefore, we have set the working objectives of this research as follows: Based on a macro understanding of the development process, annual characteristics, and influencing factors of China's outbound tourism, we will focus on analyzing the consumption patterns and industry operational features of China's outbound tourism market, forecasting market and industry trends, and providing strong academic support for the strategic expansion of Chinese tourism enterprises and government industry policies.
