Features: In the boundless, ethereal dance, I seemed to return to forty-eight years ago. That day, how captivating my soft and slender waist was, and that swirling, stunning beauty deeply attracted the gaze of the young sovereign. What could I regret? He gave me the ten best years of my life, forty-five years of glory and wealth, and three years of heart-wrenching sorrow. If I could choose again in this life, I would still meet him.
Wèizǐfū, Wèihòu, styled Zǐfū, was the empress consort of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty. Her birth year is unknown, and she died in the third year of the Zhenghe era (90 BC). She was from Pingyang (now Linfen, Shanxi). Zǐfū was originally a singing girl in the household of Cao Shi, the Marquis of Pingyang, serving Cao Shi’s wife, Princess Pingyang. After Emperor Wu ascended the throne, his empress, Ajiāo (the princess he had jokingly promised to keep in a golden room as a child), had no children. Therefore, Princess Pingyang bought neighboring wealthy women and raised them in her home, preparing to select them as consorts for Emperor Wu.
Coincidentally, Emperor Wu came to the household of the Marquis of Pingyang after offering sacrifices at Bao Mountain. Princess Pingyang had these beautiful women adorned and presented to Emperor Wu for selection. However, Emperor Wu was not satisfied with any of them. While drinking with Princess Pingyang, he had the singing girls perform dances for entertainment, and he took a liking to Zǐfū. Later, when Emperor Wu went to change clothes, Zǐfū attended him and instantly captivated him. Thus, Princess Pingyang sent Zǐfū to the palace.
After entering the palace, Zǐfū did not receive Emperor Wu’s favor for more than a year.,,。,,,、。(128),。(122),。,。《》、《》,,,。,,,,,。,。,,,。。38,(90),,。
