Please pick up the book and read it—perhaps it will change your lifelong pursuit! There was a great poet whose life was as romantic and legendary as the poetry he wrote. These poems became a milestone in Russian literature and were called "the beginning of all beginnings" by Gorky. This person is Pushkin. He passionately sang of freedom and love and was revered as the "sun of Russian poetry." He made the ruling authorities so angry that they were eager to exile him to Siberia because "he had stirred up Russia with his incendiary poems, and all the young people were reciting them." Yet, his poems were still passed down from one generation to the next by young people, and they will continue to be sung forever.
